It's been around 3 and a half months since a Sears Technican by the name of Miguel took my television that was in August we are now in November!! I have placed over 75 calls and all I get is Ma'm I'm sorry, I'll get someone from the Sears customer Relations to call you still no calls then they would give me a "so called delivery dates, the last date they gave me was Oct-29th Still no television this is the third time I take off from work to wait for a delivery that never comes neither do they call. I'm a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST, Not only have I lost days pay but my time would be better spent at a Hospital saving lives rather than this NONSENSE with SEARS and that so called CEO all he is good for is To collect his ^ digits a year. It's a shame how they get away with robbing people. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS THEY ARE NO GOOD!!!!

I'm currently going through the Sears Hell too. I've sent a certified letter to the COO with copies to the CEO and President. I've emailed the same letter to the "safety dept" only to have that "permanently failed". I've filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Board in NYS who also sent a letter/email to Sears (with a copy to me).

I used to work for a class action attorney so I've sent him a copy of all my info as well as my sister-in-law who is an attorney.

They do send repair people but this clothes dryer is brand new and defective. Not just a little defective, it's dangerously so. I would even accept repair on a BRAND NEW DRYER except for the fact that they expect me to take a day off from work for it and I will not do that. Nor will I "bring it back to the store for an exchange". I'm already out over $300, it's time they did something for the customer. I will not back down. It's a dangerous machine (it never shuts off and nearly burned my house down). I think they ought to do SOMETHING besides hang up or have their automated recording continously call my house to reschedule ANOTHER weekday appointment (which is an all-day appointment, not even a 4 hour window).

It is absolutely unconscionable of Sears to behave this way. I WILL take this further if I have to.

Thanks for your blog though, I knew I wasn't alone and now I feel vindicated.

Hey -

I totally understand where you are coming from on this. I have a brand new oven from Sears that I'm trying to get repaired. I have called them and scheduled FOUR separate appointments to get a tech to come fix my oven. Not a single time did they show up or call. Everytime I call 1-800-326-8738 to complain about this, they setup another appt for someone that never shows.

I finally called them up today and said that I'm recording the phone conversation. The CSR rep took my name and number, then immediately put me on hold for 2 minutes. She then came back and said that I can't record their conversation, and she hung up the phone on my. Can you believe that!! So I called back again to just explain the situation, and after putting in my phone number and waiting on hold for 10 minutes, some CSR picked up the phone and hung it up again!!!

So... I'm not sure what do to now. I guess I can go complain in the stores, but I'm sick of waiting around for no one to show up. I am considering small claims court as well, but I've heard it takes years to get the money from that (plus the time invested). Do you have any suggestions for me? If so, I'd appreciated an email at kneijst1 [atsign] hotmail.com. My name is Ken and I feel Sears is now on to ruining another life (sort of, just a pissed off ex-purchaser of Sears merchandise).
